John commenced his laboratory training in 1963 as a cadet medical technologist with the Commonwealth Department of Health Pathology Laboratory in Launceston. On completion of his medical scientist training he worked at various Commonwealth Pathology Laboratories throughout Australia including Canberra, Alice Springs, Townsville, Albury and Bendigo. He was appointed Officer-In-Charge of the Commonwealth Pathology Laboratory in Launceston in 1973. The Commonwealth Pathology Laboratory was transferred to the Launceston General Hospital in December 1985 and John joined Launceston Pathology as Practice Manager in February 1986.

Paul commenced work with the Commonwealth Department of Health Pathology Laboratory in Launceston in 1972. In 1985 he transferred to the  Launceston General Hospital Pathology, then in 2005 joined Launceston Pathology. Paul is currently a guest lecturer in Transfusion at the University of Tasmania.

Leigh Murfett commenced his pathology working career in 1986 as a technical assistant and then as a qualified medical laboratory scientist in 1988 with Launceston Pathology. He has fulfilled many roles within pathology, which has further contributed to the development of his knowledge and experience within the industry.
Leigh's extensive laboratory experience helps him significantly in his position of state-wide Quality Systems Officer, which he has held since November 2000. In January 2012 Leigh was appointed Laboratory Operations Manager.

Kellie Ollington commenced her career at Launceston Pathology in 1999 as a technical assistant. She graduated from UTAS as a Medical Scientist in 2001 and worked in many areas of the laboratory. She has worked in Microbiology since 2005 and coordinates the after hours on call service.  She is currently undertaking furthur studies at UTAS commencing a MBA in 2013.

Jann graduated from RMIT and trained at Queen Victoria Hospital and Geelong Hospital in Victoria, joining North West Pathology in 1985. Jann is now the Histology supervisor in Launceston, which encompasses supervision of histology at North West Pathology.  She is currently completing her Masters in OH&S and is the Safety Manager for DSPL.

Susan commenced "Hospital-based training" as a Nurse in 1982, working in acute care in both Public and Private Hospitals in the North and North East of Tasmania. In 2000 she attended the University of Tasmania to attain a Bachelor of Nursing Degree, since then she has obtained further nursing experience in Remote Area Nursing, Ambulance duty, Casualty Department, Cardiac and Diabetes nursing. In 2003 she worked in Nursing Education at the LGH, before commencing at Launceston Pathology in 2011, where she is now employed as the Registered Nurse in Charge of Specimen Collection.

Caroline completed her training as an auxiliary nurse at St Vincent's Hospital - Launceston, in 1987. She worked as practice manager for a busy Launceston medical practice and in hospitality management before joining Launceston Pathology in 1994.

Glynis started work at Launceston Pathology in April 2003, initially as a part time specimen collector. She worked in a variety of areas throughout the laboratory including data entry and Histology typing. In July 2009 she was promoted to head of department  in specimen reception.
