 | | John Millwood | | DipMedTech, AAIMS | | Practice Manager | | (03) 6334 3636 | John commenced his laboratory training in 1963 as a cadet medical technologist with the Commonwealth Department of Health Pathology Laboratory in Launceston. On completion of his medical scientist training he worked at various Commonwealth Pathology Laboratories throughout Australia including Canberra, Alice Springs, Townsville, Albury and Bendigo. He was appointed Officer-In-Charge of the Commonwealth Pathology Laboratory in Launceston in 1973. The Commonwealth Pathology Laboratory was transferred to the Launceston General Hospital in December 1985 and John joined Launceston Pathology as Practice Manager in February 1986. |

| | (03) 6334 3636 | | Paul joined Launceston Pathology in 2005 following on from his role as Operations Manager at the Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service. He holds a BSc in Medical Science, majoring in haematology, blood transfusion & clinical chemistry. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Computing. With greater than 35 years laboratory experience, Paul is the Senior Scientist in our Haematology/Biochemistry area. |

 | | Leigh Murfett | | BAppSci (Med Lab Sci), MAIMS | | Quality Manager, Apollo (LIS) Implementation Manager | | (03) 6334 3636 | Leigh Murfett commenced his pathology working career in 1986 as a technical assistant and then as a qualified medical laboratory scientist in 1988 with Launceston Pathology. He has fulfilled many roles within pathology, which has further contributed to the development of his knowledge and experience within the industry. Leigh's extensive laboratory experience helps him significantly in his position of state-wide Quality Systems Officer, which he has held since November 2000. |

In 1969 he transferred to the microbiological in-charge position at the Launceston General Hospital, and in 1989 joined Launceston Pathology in charge of microbiology. Danny is a fellow and past president of AIMS, a Member of the Australian and American Societies for Microbiology, and is currently a NATA assessor for laboratory accreditations. |

 | | Jann Brauer | | DipMedTech, GradCert OH&S | | Head of Department - Histology, Manager - OHS | | (03) 6334 3636 | | Jann graduated from RMIT and trained at Queen Victoria Hospital and Geelong Hospital in Victoria, joining North West Pathology in 1985. Jann is now the Histology supervisor in Launceston, which encompasses supervision of histology at North West Pathology. She is currently completing her Masters in OH&S and is the Safety Manager for DSPL. |

Her graduate training was performed at Calvary Health Care Tasmania, Lenah Valley Campus in 2004. She then moved on to the Royal Hobart Hospital to work in the department of emergency medicine for a short time before re-locating back to Launceston. In 2005 Hannah started working at the Launceston General Hospital in the department of emergency medicine where she also completed a post graduate certificate in Emergency Nursing in 2007. Hannah joined Launceston Pathology in May 2008, and was appointed as Registered Nurse In Charge of Specimen Collection. |

She worked as practice manager for a busy Launceston medical practice and in hospitality management before joining Launceston Pathology in 1994.

 | | Donna McCarroll | | | | Head of Department - Specimen Reception | | (03) 6334 3636 | Donna started work at Launceston Pathology in 1986, initially as an evening courier and doing filing in the office. She worked in a variety of areas throughout the laboratory including RIA and haematology. In 1990 she went on maternity leave and then returned on a part-time basis to work til 1994. After an absence of 3 years from 1994 (during which she took further maternity leave) Donna again returned to part-time work in specimen reception, specimen collection and histology. Donna was promoted in 2004 to head of department of specimen reception; which now has 5 staff members. |
